What we've learned servicing pools here
Moore Park's pool stock is concentrated in the 20–30 year age window, which puts the neighbourhood right in the middle of the equipment replacement cycle. Variable-speed pumps, modern salt cells, and current-generation heaters were not standard 25 years ago, and most Moore Park pools are now on their second or third equipment swap. The cost of running outdated single-speed pumps versus modern variable-speed equivalents is significant — typically a 12–24 month payback. We flag legacy equipment proactively at openings so replacement can be planned during the off-season instead of after a failure.
